Our claims specialists are on hand to provide assistance from the moment an incident occurs. With over 480 correspondents in more than 230 ports, we are well equipped to provide local support, wherever you are in the world.

British Marine has been supporting shipowners and assureds since 1876. Because of our long history, you have peace of mind that we will be here if you ever need advice or to make a claim. We also offer continuity in terms of the people you deal with, providing consistent points of contact over many years.

Our team members come from a variety of backgrounds, including International Group clubs, fixed cost providers, shipowners and law firms. That breadth of expertise and knowledge allows us to deal with every aspect of a claim in-house, and enables us to plan ahead for any potential issues that may arise.

Finally, we can help with the prevention of situations that could lead to claims. Our Loss Prevention team includes experienced mariners and engineers who are on hand to provide advice and administer risk assessment surveys.
